January 7, 2007 It has been a busy few months for us on the "Dirty Country" front. We have been in the thick of post-production, editing the movie with our friend Matt Ehling in Minnesota. This a terribly time-consuming process, but we are happy to report that with the help of Matt and our friend Paul at IFP-MN, we have finished a rough cut for submission to film festivals. There is still much work to be done before we have a ready-to-screen movie, but we are happy with the way it's coming together. Meanwhile, we are planning a few more interviews with various experts, authors, and musicologists who can help discuss some of the issues raised in the film. Looks like we'll have a final cut ready by March.  The big news, however, is that Larry Pierce has a brand-new album coming out on Tuesday, January 9th. It's called "Pussy Whipped," and it's his first album recorded with -itis, the band that Larry has been touring with for the past two years. To promote the album, Larry will appear on The Howard Stern Show at 7 am on Jan. 9th on Sirius Satellite Radio. If you are a Sirius subscriber, you won't want to miss this. Larry will have an acoustic guitar in the studio and may even play one of the songs from the new album. "Pussy Whipped" is available to order online at www.larrypierce.com.
